Box Tops for Education
We collect and submit Box Tops from certain grocery items to raise funds. Box Tops are done electronically via the Box Tops app which can be found via your app store.
Campus Culture
We support TPMS administration in developing a safe and supportive learning environment for all students attending Twin Peaks.
Character Counts
Bi-monthly recognition of students.
Choir
A parent-run program that meets before school. Our Choir performs with Poway High School at their concerts in December and May. We invite all middle school kids who love to sing to join us the beginning of each new session to come learn, sing and have fun!
Community Concerns
We support the community through the Giving Tree program during the winter holidays and donate to the Poway for grad night events.
Gifts to School
When the budget allows, PTSA works with TPMS school leaders to identify and fund a special project or item to provide additional educational or social activities for TPMS students.
Health and Wellness
We provide volunteers for the PUSD hearing and vision tests, and promote Red Ribbon Week activities to highlight drug awareness. Volunteers needed in fall.
Hospitality
We organize and provide a back-to-school meal for Twin Peaks Staff in August, a holiday dessert bar in December, and our festive Staff Appreciation Luncheon in May. Volunteers and donations are needed for each event.
Library
We help provide volunteers during lunch hours throughout the school year and to assist with book returns in June.
Parent Education
We plan and implement events/educational opportunities for parents throughout the school year.
Reflections
PTSA enhances your child’s education by providing a venue for artistic expression via our Reflections Art Program. See our Reflections page for details.
Registration
We aid the Twin Peaks administrators with the registration process, provide materials and volunteers for registration days in August.
Sixth Grade Olympics
Assist the PE department as needed and help to organize and provide volunteers for the two-day event in May.
Spelling Bee
We help to organize and hold annual spelling bee for students at TPMS. Winner of the TPMS spelling bee moves on to participate in the regional spelling bee and represents Twin Peaks.
Teacher Supply Closet
PTSA helps to maintain a running list of school supplies as needed by TPMS staff. The list will be distributed throughout the year to parents to donate as desired.
TIP “Totally Incredible Person”
We distribute rewards at the end of each quarter to students who earn straight O’s in citizenship/conduct on their report cards and help ASB to organize, fund, and provide volunteers for the year-end TIP party. Volunteers needed quarterly.
Volunteer Support and Appreciation
We keep members informed of the latest volunteer opportunities at Twin Peaks and support PTA’s Honorary Service Awards program in spring to celebrate volunteers school-wide, who’ve gone above and beyond.
Please know that your presence on Campus is always welcome and is crucial to the successful implementation of these program and activities. Your gift of time is essential to the school and a great way for you to stay involved in your student’s school life.
If you’d like to volunteer, please see our volunteering page for guidelines.
